The Living Room spans two floors and is accessible only by few stairs. Please note there is no elevator or step-free entry available.

What to expect

Studio drop-in is our casual evening to hangout at Kocrea Living Room. Bring your own project, laptop, book, or other activity and enjoy three hours in the space to end the day. With free access to basic craft and drawing supplies.

How it works

1. Doors open at 7PM. Drop in whenever your evening frees up.

2. Pull up a chair at the main table, or head upstairs to find a quiet corner in the mindfulness area.

3. Bring your own project, laptop, book, or other activity and enjoy three hours in the space.

4. Help yourself to the craft and drawing supplies laid out across the table. Put everything back when you are done.

4. Spend the next three hours however you need: immersed in deep focus, making something, or sharing conversation with others.

5. Wrap up whenever you feel ready before doors close at 10:00 PM.

What can I work on during a drop-in?

Anything human-scale and quiet. You may bring a sketchbook, a book, hand crafts like or simple laptop work. If you arrive empty-handed, our main table is stocked with paper, markers, brushes, collage materials, and seasonal projects ready to use.

Do I need an art or creative background to attend?

Not at all. Studio Drop-in is not an art class—there are no teachers, assignments, or evaluations. Many guests come to work quietly with a hot cup of tea and a notebook, or to keep their hands busy with simple coloring or collage to decompress after a day behind screens.

Can I arrive late or leave early?

Yes. Your pass gives you full access to the space between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Arrive whenever your schedule allows and pack up whenever you are ready.

Can I drop in without a booking, or reschedule my date?

Because seats are strictly limited to 8 guests per evening, advance booking is required to guarantee your spot. While we do not issue refunds, you can easily reschedule your booking to another evening with at least 48 hours’ notice.

Is the studio completely silent, or is it social?

It sits naturally in between. It is neither a dead-silent library nor a noisy coffee shop. Soft music plays in the background, people focus quietly on their work, and low conversation flows easily.

Will someone be coaching or help with my work?

Tea and filtered water are provided throughout the evening. We do not serve food, but you are welcome to bring a covered drink or a light snack. We recommend grabbing dinner beforehand at one of the neighborhood eateries around Kat On Street and Stone Nullah Lane.

Is my phone allowed inside?

To protect the deep focus of the room, we practice a "screens on silent" policy.
